A brief overview of Longleat Safari Park
Longleat Safari Park is situated on the grounds of the historic Longleat Estate, which has been the home of the Thynne family, the Marquesses of Bath, since the 16th century. The park itself was opened to the public in 1966, becoming the first drive-through safari park outside of Africa.
The safari park offers visitors an opportunity to see a wide variety of exotic and native animals up close. The park features both drive-through and walk-through sections. In the drive-through area, visitors can explore the extensive grounds in their own vehicles, encountering animals such as lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, zebras, and more. The walk-through areas allow visitors to observe animals like meerkats, penguins, gorillas, koalas, and other fascinating creatures.
